As an Arizona native, Michelle has been surrounded by vibrant sunsets, beautiful deserts and the breathtaking red rock landscapes of Sedona. She receives much of her inspiration from her southwestern home and by her many travels abroad.  Exploring different cultures and climates is another way she is inspired. Since she was a child, the ocean has always fascinated her.  "There is something about the hypnotic movement of water, with its transparent and glossy layers of light and dark that has always intrigued me. Trying to capture this depth and movement in my art has been quite a journey, but one I'm grateful for," ~ Michelle.

Until recently, Michelle has worked mostly with classic acrylic paints.  However, after discovering the beauty of fluid acrylics and other mediums such as liquid resin, she has has started a new chapter in her artistic story.

"Creating a pour with resin has given my art more depth of color and dramatic expression. I love how each piece is unique and has a personality of it's own.  It looks wet and alive.  As you look deep inside each piece, you get lost in the art... It's something I want others to experience." ~ Michelle

Michelle has been creating and selling art since 1995.  Her experience includes abstract, landscape and realism painting, residential and commercial wall murals, and photography.  Her contemporary floral series was displayed at The Rowan Tree gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2005.  More recent works, such as her popular large acrylic pours, can be viewed at Butler Hansen P.C. in Gilbert, Arizona.
